11 May Alstom Transport France – Dubai Tramway (2009): Engineering and Design of the “Traction Power Substations” and “Lighting Power Substations” Automation System

ES PROCESSING carried out the study, design and engineering of the entire system including Automation PLC/HMI, Emergency tripping system, Interlock/Intertrip system, Calculation sheet…

The project consisted of engineering and designing the Automation system for the “traction & lighting power substations” to ensure control of all of the 14 substations of Al Sufouh network. This network consisted of:

  • 8 Traction power sub-stations (TPS) supplying the Rolling stock via APS power system (Online) and the auxiliary’s stations
  • 6 lighting power sub-stations (LPS) that supply the auxiliary’s stations

 
The automation sub-stations are equipped with PLCs (Schneider Premium) and Remote rack I/O (STB) on each board.
